im in process of buying a uk imported buck/breay bloodline bitch, pending trial, she is pure black, rough coated, strong bone, good head, bit big but im hopeing she'll make the grade as i really like her. anyone have any pics old or new of dogs of this strain?? and how did/do you rate them as workers

Hello mate i have buck lines and there as direct from buck as you could really get... the old dogs sire of mine was off max buck . . . .theyre smooth though not rough like yours. . . . mainly big strong dogs no good for small spots or rocks.... they dont start too early or i should say i dont start them early and usually start hard then level out . . . . look at some old topics of mine there all buck stuff not puttin pics up all been seen before. . . Is it a pup you r gettin or a 12month plus??? Be wary of buying someones older crap . . . good luck

 

adult bitch, 3yrs. shes already had a litter. shes an out and out fox bitch nothing more..... her biggest fault that i can see is that shes a bit big for fox...... if shes game enough she'll be bred to a smaller worker. he seemed straight up with me. told me all the pro's and cons and im gonna take her on anyway. dealt at a reasonable price. not too worried about her breeding but id like to know either way.

3 years old already had a litter and a tad big for job she s intented too do and your talking of breeding her and you ve not even got her yet something does nt add up imo

 

 

im talking about down the line in a few years and if size is her only fault. otherwise i wont be keeping her.

as of this evening i have got her now on trial.

 

and seriously when you buy a dog you never consider whether it would be worthwhile adding to your own breeding down the line if it makes a good enough worker?????

seriously and buy a dog should not be in same sentence you ll find the best bred terriers are given too like minded people for free and so on and so forth the way it shoud be money will be the undoing of the honest digging dog .

 

many people wouldnt give you an apple around here. decent dogs are in short supply as well im looking for a right bitch for the future 1 good worker isnt enough.... something happens to him then im stuck without a dog to work and have to find the right pup and wait for it to grow up.

this isnt like england. good decent dogmen are thinner on the ground. theres a few who i hold in high esteem. couple of them over here off this site as well.

im afraid gem we all heard the story keep ur money tight in your pocket until your happy with bitch as for coment you made about decent dogmen in ireland my god .i bought a lot of dogs in over the years from uk heres the first lie you get dog too big too hard 2 year old money back if your not happy. money up front pay 100 euro to transport ,bring dog out load of shit.if they answer phone to you its always the same he wasnt doing that over here.i think the dogs change on the boat on way over :doh:plus there a few on this forum

i had 1 about 2 year ago smooth coated come of bucks daughter it was the best looking dog and the gamest thing you eva see but had a go with the other dog in the kennel and brought it in the house kids left door open got out and never to be seen again a propper little character and i have searched all over for another and carnt get one even knocked on the mans door and the only terrier he had then was a little red terrier about 13 years old and he didnt know were ther were any so there goes but if any are still about and any one knowes off any let me know travel any were for right dog but give up looking a while back

i cant see how you have knocked on the mans door pal,he passed away 12 years this november

The only bitch i seen that John park has was a little broken coated red one he told me that she would be the purest one he knows of out of breays old gear not sure on daves stuff being bred that way though I'd say some would of once had a touch of that blood as would most terriers once over especially round these parts daves older stuff carried lines to Cowan through his dog jock his stuff off today still carries the same blood butalso black jack bred by ken then owned by dave and a bitch called Rose they have used johns dog Stanley and also tiger as an outcross and John has pups back put of those litters to hopefully bring back into his line they used johns dogs to steady them up a bit as they were getting very hard

all his gear did once over as far as im led to believe mate but bingo and mick been dead a while havent they ? he only had one in kennels there that he said was as pure as he had the rest where black bar stanley a fine stamp of a dog i might add oh and old tiger that was wandering around his house

yes back in the 80s time go by seen mick work a fox nice stamp of dog and allso he had a small bitch with one eye for get her name
