Does land need to be approved by the police before you can use a shotgun on it?

My understanding is no, as there is no condition on a SGC relating to where it can be used. I guess if it's a section 1, held on an FAC, then it's different, but on an SGC I don't think it does.

FAC Shotguns "should" be granted as an open condition on your FAC, I say should as the Home Office advises FLO's to do this to save them clearing land for shotguns but it's not always the case.

I was thinking about that earlier on, as I don't remember anyone ever saying they had to get land checked for their section 1 shotguns, clears that up!
