lamaha 7
Ok, i have been asked to trap a mink for a friend and i have read the posts on mink. I have fenn mrk 4's with boxes to cover them and live squirrel traps will these be big enough or will we have to invest in mrk 6 fenns. I want to help the guy out if i can as this may lead to other work. Any input will be greatly recieved. Cheers Quote Link to post
salukiwhippet 6
Not done a lot of mink work but 4's are not approved for mink, nor would they be humane - many folk seem to think 6's (which are approved) are marginal and go for magnum 116's. I'd love to have a bash, I've just taken on a farm rat contract on a place with 2 miles of the Severn so hopefully will have a bash over the winter! All the best, James Quote Link to post
patdahat 41
the mark 6's or i find the 116 bodygrip's seriously better but then it depend's on the location, either will do . dest of luck them Quote Link to post
lamaha 7
Cheers guys, I guessed it would be the mk 6 and during my research i got details of a mink raft as endorsed by the Game and Wildlife conservation trust. So i will invest in a pair of fenn mk6's and bone up on my tracks identification and diy skills. Thanks again. Edited October 4, 2010 by lamaha Quote Link to post
