RyanMcBride 0
Hi mate. what centre did you do it in Im just booking mines just now.. and what is it you do offshore? cheers Ryan. I done it at Altens Aberdeen bud. Nothing to be scared of, its easy. I wasnt on rigs, I was on vessels repairing pumps, mixers and associated machinery for grouting. Im not offshore anymore, it didnt suit me (it wasnt a 2 week on 2 week off thing, you got to come back once the job was finished) and only done it as I was made redundant and seen it as a quick fix. Im back doing what I done previous to being made redundant now. Kyle Kyle, what actually happens through the week? Im doing Bosiet and Mist.. 5 day mon-fri 8am-5pm... is it constant drills or is it like well do this for an hour then that for an hour... also.. can u study for it atall is there any exams? im going to take notes through the course, Ill be bored out my t*ts up there so ill look over the notes as much as possible. ta. I had the Bosiet on the mon, tues, wed, and the Mist thurs, fri. monday was all in the classroom , tues was in the pool, wed morn in pool also, then more in the classroom. Mist on thurs and fri, boring as feck. There are a couple of tests but nothing hard, and no real need to revise for them as long as you dont fall asleep in class lol. Good luck with it mate Kyle Ok. ill just take notes and study like fook. cheers buddy.

DIVERD 34
Before i retired from diving, my company supplied the safety divers for both Petrofac (RGIT) and Falc Nutec. I dived there myself from time to time when we could not get divers or they did not have valid certs. Many of my friends are still instructors or divers there. It is a scary thing for non or poor swimmers, but as long as you believe you will be ok, trust your instructors and understand you are underwater for a few short seconds then you will be fine. You are only 18 inches down! Escape holding your breath once the unit stops moving takes less time than reading this post. It is a confidence thing to get through, but listen and learn, a real ditching may not be in a calm clear and warm swimming pool, and safety divers tend not to cling to the outside of paraffin budgies for your assistance!
