graham4877 1,181
I'ed rather die than in the crash, than spend 7 hour in that suite in the north sea! If your found you'll be a lucky mofo!
GaZMaN888 68
Always been tempted offshore (although I'm only 18 month's out of my time). Double your money from the off, but don't think that the lad from Hertfordshire would fit in having to bunk with some hairy arsed geordie Plus not good with heights, thinking 6 months in Azerbejhan or somewhere might be the one. 6 months away from the mrs, I'd probably do it for less than I'm on now GaZ
slingshot82 32
Hi mate. what centre did you do it in Im just booking mines just now.. and what is it you do offshore? cheers Ryan. I done it at Altens Aberdeen bud. Nothing to be scared of, its easy. I wasnt on rigs, I was on vessels repairing pumps, mixers and associated machinery for grouting. Im not offshore anymore, it didnt suit me (it wasnt a 2 week on 2 week off thing, you got to come back once the job was finished) and only done it as I was made redundant and seen it as a quick fix. Im back doing what I done previous to being made redundant now. Kyle

Night Hunter 109
I done mine up at faulk nutech in dyce, thouroughly enjoyed the course, great tutors etc. but when I was on the course two year ago the first chopper had to land in the sea all survived then when I came home the second chopper ditched with fatalities and I never even applied for a job after that.....It definately aint for everyone. Best of luck mate..

Best of luck mate.. Yeh that was a shocker, I worked with a few of the KCA lads that were on the flight when they were drilling a new well on here, they ended up on the millar... Bad news when a gearbox goes, they actually found metal filings in the oil when they were servicing it, but still flew it regardless...

Mist on thurs and fri, boring as feck. There are a couple of tests but nothing hard, and no real need to revise for them as long as you dont fall asleep in class lol. Good luck with it mate Kyle
