why cant i house train my lurcher pup grrrrr

i bought a lurcher pup 6 weeks ago she now 13 weeks old and she still wees and shits in the house not all the time but she's starting to get a headache i had my rottie house trained in 4 days and this just don't want to learn any advice would be great

Try crate training mate it should'nt soil its own bed area if you dont leave it in it for long periods, take it outside often after sleep play meals ect and stay with it till it does the bizz, As jt said its only young give it time

could you outline a typical day for the pup. Meal times walk times where it sleep and where it is kept. Maybe then a sensible reply could be posted. Dogs differ too. Also what do you do when the pup fouls in the house

some good advise given there.I am a big fan of crate training. We purchased our pup last weekend, when he came home He had never seen the inside of house, just left in a barn. So I am shocked that he is 99% house broke already. Even dry threw the night. He is then crated but will moan to go out I am more than happy to get up and let him out. As said above straight after a meal,or as they wake is the time they are most likely to need a toilet. So straight outside even if You have to stand in the pouring rain with her dont come in until the business is done, then loads of fuss.

the first thing i do is when its been asleep and wakes up, the second it wakes up take i it outside and say get a pee,generally they'll want one after a sleep, then they'll generally want a dump after its had something to eat, so again take it outside, then tire the little fecker out so it falls asleep then repeat all over again when it wakes up, i found after 3 days my pup was walking to the door after it had woke up and after it had eaten, but all pups are different, good luck,HF.

I do the same mate and if there at play watch for them snifing about.Thats a good sight.

u need to stop pissing in the house first then the pup may lern lol
