Could try hanging a bucket in the middle of his run,tied up to the roof with string so it's free hanging and leave his dirty bowl where it is.The bowl down a tight run sounds good though.

Hi Jigsaw,

I use a wall mounted water bowl. I got it in a farm store locally, think farmers use them for calves.

Made from galvanized steel, totally terrier proof. Just wondering, if placed high enough, if your dog would be satisfied marking the wall underneath.

Hopefully he sees the wall and bowl as one thing.

the lad who suggested putting in a length of timber has right idea as that has worked for me in past. try more than one water pan.get another dog to piss on post them he should want to use it.
