david2363 42
I see one nearly every morning (same place). It lets the dog get to almost biting distance then dives up a tree.

Guest Ditch_Shitter
White / Albino squirrels? Look at it this way; National population of them is astronomical. Then virtually nothing actually preys on them. There's the makings of a higher than average percent chance of a 'freak' occuring and surviving it's own obviousness amongst nature. K? Problem occurs when man happens on the scene. We see a white squirrel? We 'Have to' bag it. Thus they get shot, sooner rather than later. I mounted an albino gray squirrel for a guy. I also bought a whole bunch of gray skins from a 'Keeper. There was an albino amongst them. I wouldn't raise an eyebrow at a white one now. Just a rifle. It's like badgers; Tons of them about. Ups the chances of a white one. And nothing's going to deliberatly remove it. Probably why white badgers are even more common than white tree rats. Interesting thing to see. But it's still a tree rat. Shoot it.
