I dont know how long you have had ferrets [bANNED TEXT],I dont have any at the moment but when I did it never failed to amaze me how quickly a jill ferret seems to go out of condition just after having kits,it might just be the natural order of things. If it is just weight loss and she seems otherwise healthy I wouldnt worry to much just keep an eye on things.

when you say her back end is going do you mean her back legs?can she walk around ok if you offer her a tit bit will she eat it,sometimes they can have a stroke which can parilize their rear legs which stops them from getting food and water its happened to mine before, hope not in your case

Try not to worry too much mate, my Gil's went a bit manky when they were up the duff. I now separate them when they get fat with kit's so they have a bit of peace, and ensure that they get some good food, bit of chicken, fish any scraps that are high in protien but pure. NO salty or spicey stuff. I usually feed them on raw meat (Rabbit) or dried ferret food, my poley Gil has just dropped a few so I will put up a piccie in a bit to show you how that extra bit of pampering pays off,
