SeanTheHawker 0
ist illegal, i thought if doing it a few years ago, problem is, you gotta ask yourself why are no rabbits already on it? if they struggled before, they will again
dai dog 11
there are rabbits on neighbouring farms! & its good land! is it illegal? why? its my wifes farm & walking distance! it would be nice to see them there! to have the odd run & to conserve my own sport! some of the pockets of rabbits i know are killed off in no time by the people who dont understand that its not a numbers game! dai dog 11
ok it is illegal. but can anyone explain why? it cant be anything to do with disease surely? whats the harm apart from more grass going missing & a few holes here & there?

bullsmilk 2
i know that its illegal to release any non-indidgenouse animal...and bunnys are not a indidgenouse species to the british isles.the normans or romans introduced them
COMPO 54
agricultural pest act 1954.....look it up if you can be bothered but it is illegal to release pest species back to the wild any pest species once caught must be despatched humanely, thats why the RSPCA releasing "injured" foxes is so wrong they blatantly ignore the law, however if the rabbits were to escape from a rabbit pen, like the gun dog trialler had but dont get caught  when i lived on the farm where i grew up, i obviously made a massive dent in the wild rabbits, several of my dark coloured domestic rabbits escaped  and after a year or so there were loads of slightly larger wild rabbits about
The Ferret 0
Just a thought. Would it make any difference if you were to re-introduce them in order to "actively farm" them for meat?? Ferret
dai dog 11
criminal or civil offence? criminal i suppose if its the animal welfare argument about the humane dispatch of the caught animal!? itll be on the evening post "local lad had 180 hours community service for stressing some bunnys a little" whilst on page two in small print a little old lady got done right over & sadly died of her injuries later on in hospital! i cant fathom for the bloody life of me the way this country is going! were so bloody politically correct were actually quite incorrect! rant over.
