probably when you feel the animals ready to slow down .. dont think you can put an age on it really .. there all very different

They live a long time mate 10 being normal.The older they get the better they get at killing.When they stop working depends on what you want from the ferret and if you have room for a pet.

Up to 10 is most often, but we have had ferrets to 15 years old, with good care.

Our old jill died in the summer 13yrs old we had another one that lived to 14 but most seem to turn up there toes at about 10

regards working all the time they want to work let them our 13yr old was still happily working small 6/8 hole burries up untill the jan before she died in her sleep

I had four sandy Jill's all sisters lost one last year one passed away last week other two are twelve ,thirteen look rough as feck all they do is eat and sleep but i don't have a problem with that i owe these old ladies a good retirement they have accounted for 1000's of rabbits

lost my old hob in june, just shy of 14. between 8 and 10 is more normal though

wow, didnt relise thay lived for so long, glad as my young hob is working great going to have years of good times with him
