Barrel blocked

Hi, just got a used BSA super 10 and seems I have a blockage in the barrel, new to this airgun game and was after some advice on clearing it and also preventing further occurances, I have been using BSA pellets and seem to have problems with them catching on the skirt around the bottom, what would you guys recommend, cheers jordy!

For removing the blockage?

 

Place barrel in a vice on bench (protect the barrel from the jaws of vice with paper or cloth) then use a length of 5mm wood dowl and tap the blockage out with gentle taps from a rubber/wooden mallet.

 

To prevent it happening again, make sure there is enough air in the cylinder to push the pellet all the way out and towards its target; finally stop double loading.

Says me who is constantly pulling the bolt back and driving it forward again A serious habbit I have to break before I put a 10 shot conversion on or else Im gonna wind up with a stick of lead in my barrel 10pellets long

 

As far as I am aware, there is only one gun that wont let you double load (and am open to correction on this) and thats the HW100.

PS work the dowl from the deepest end towards the shallowest. What I mean by that is if the dowl fits down the muzzle end bu 10 inches but only goes down by 3 inches at the breech end, place the rod at the muzzle and begin the tapping back to the breech.

We do give stick, but only in a friendly way, and the odd one that does try to give out crap, we generally get shut of quick sharp

 

What many people forget, is 'we were all new at one time or another', I have learn't a heck of a lot from the people on here, as have every one of the regulars and we all have three things in common, our love of airgunning and our liking to pass on our knowledge and our passion for encouraging others into airgunning, be it paper punching or hunting

 

Some times we have to put certain people in their place, but we generally do it with style and humour
