FAC Air rifle v Rimfire

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I own 3 FAC air rifles. Love them to bits.

With our lisencing laws etc its much better owning a FAC air rifle than a rim fire.

For what I hunt, I dont need anything stronger:

.177 -> 23fpe (15gr Daystate pellet)

.20 -> 60fpe (13.7gr JSB pellet)

.22 -> 38fpe (22gr Gamo TS-22 pellet)

Cheers,

Roger!

i have a fx cyclone in ,22 fac and also a sacko finnfire ,22

in my apinion both guns have a job to do in the control of rabbits

the cyclone is my prefered tool for the rabbit job and safer to use than the rimfire

also it makes a cleaner job when selling them to customers

good shooting all

17hmr too loud for my liking but the bullet flies to pieces on impact so tree shot's should not be a worry, a 12ftlb + air weapon should be the same as far as firing into tree's goes.

A .22lr is a deffinate no no as far as tree shot's go as them big lumps of lead bounce all over the place even if you hit your target they come out and wizz all over,but as far as ground shot game goes a .22 rimmy will take some beating,they are quiet and deadly.

FAC Airs handy in building where you couldn,t use the rimmy and so on

Dont think we've ever had a disagreement :no:

But would you really use an FAC air rifle in a building? :icon_eek:

Heck, I'd be reluctant to use anything over 6ft/lbs inside the confines of a building (although have used an 11ft/lbs in a pig pen building).
