Does anyone put vanilla essence in sloe gin

never tried vanilla essence, tried almond essence though, as above niiiiiiiice,

I make Sloe Gin every year and it is always the same horrible and a complete waste of good Gin. Has anyone got a good recipe, the Almond Oil idea sounds good.

What are you doing wrong? Sugar, sloes, gin & plenty of standing time. You can't go far wrong!

mate of mines put ginger in his its ok but just dont put to much in gets a bit fiery lol
