Now it,s come round to ferreting season had a ride round some of the permission .Not looking to good it appears the mixi has hit quite hard round these parts. Where only 4 weeks ago you could count 14 plus rabbits running for cover now there isn't 1 .At first i thought someone had beat me to it now i'm starting to find dying rabbits all over .

You'd do well to ferret it and get rid of all the bad ones put them out of there misery and feed your ferrets at the same time,what area is it, there's some places down south hit bad

The parts of hertfordshire I'm at is fine, haven't seen myxi in 2 years and none this year so far.

myxi is not transferable to any other animal, inc us, we may not like the look of it, but if you check the liver, the meat is fine for feeding

I always thought that mixcy was spread with fleas, so if you feed them to ferrets can't the fleas transfer to the ferrets

Just make sure you deflea your ferrets well before doing an uninfected area

Ive always fed mixi ones to my ferrets as for the fleas they leave the body once its cold so just leave it for a hour .The area im on about is the vale of evesham

Yes but your ferret will have fleas from being in the hole
