Guest Ditch_Shitter
And, just when ye think ye've heard them all ....! Robin; Hat's off to ye, mate. That's a f*ckin Blinder! Ok. We've done Coprophagia (Sh!t eating) on here before. Even just recently. Check it out on Google and ye'll find A/ It's actually more common than ye may like to dare think about. And, B/ No One really has a definative answer or cure! However, in some circumstances, I feel, logic can provide a clue. K? Now, not to drone on but consider this, if ye will: The Dog's sustained an injury. Doesn't feel 100%. Okay. When we feel that way we take 'Medicines'. Things to do something within our bodys to help said body right the wrong. Yes? I have a hunch here, mate. It's based on simple logic. How about that Dog instinctively knows it needs some kind of 'medicine'. A substance, or trace element which nature tells it will be good. Let's take Calcium as an example ~ broken bones need calcium to help stich themselves back together, I'm guessing? Okay. So what if that Dog isn't getting quite as much calcium as it feels it needs? It can't ask you. It can't go to Boots and buy some. Thus, might it not seek out that extra calcium where ever it may be available? Such as in the excretians of its mate there ....? Just a logic based hunch, mate. So, your mission ~ should ye choose to accept it ~ is to suss out What that Dog's after, and provide it. Might be something as simple as calcium. I really wouldn't know. But I'll tell ye what? For the sake of five to ten pounds, I'd personally get a tub of SA37 and see if That provides what ever this Dog's looking for. Worth a go? Best of luck, mate Quote Link to post
pointer28 1
Ditch shitter is spot on I have seen horses do the same when they are stabled for long periods of time, they are missing some essential vitamin or mineral and they are getting from the droppings. I found that if you give them a good vitamin and mineral supplement they usually stop it pretty quickly. Quote Link to post
