Ferret Toys?

Hi All,

 

I was wondering what you lads/lasses put in your hutches and runs for your ferts to play with, and keep them amused for a bit. The reason i ask is one of my jills is often trying her best to bite through the wire of the mesh. I hate to see her like that. She gets a decent run out around the front room every evening, but would like to give them more stimulus whilst in the hutch.

 

Its a decent sized three tier hutch with just two small jills in it. I have put them a hammock in and a ladder they like to dick about on. Any other sugestions would be well received.

Mine have al manner of tubes, pipes, bits of log, big rocks, a wellie, rabbit skins, balls, flower pots, tree branches . . . . . . . . . .that i change weekly.

I find mine like anything that they can get in and out of. Pipes, watering can, old boot, a box, etc. I find the best thing to do is not put too much in there, and change it often. They seem to get bored of playing in the same old things day in, day out.

Anything new ferrets love new things I cut a couple of holes in some old footballs

got all sorts in my run pipes balls hanging basket out garden the love that with a old jumper or something in it a platform with pipe running up to it

in my ferrets court I have an.... old tire, old chicken feed bag with extra holes in, pipes, more pipes, logs, old bucket and hay for them to play with. they love it especially the younger ones.

iv got 3 hobs and iv got pipes,hanging basket with a t-shirt over it a little soft duck hung on string ridge tiles plastic bags with the bottom open they love the sound it makes aand a bucket of wood chippings for them to dig around in i move it about an change it all weekley
