Good day on rape yesterday, ended up with 101.

good going mate was that on fresh sown rape (new shoots) or rape stubbles ?

was sown about 4 weeks ago, bout 6 inches in some places

yeah got my eye on some at the mo but its all cress at mo they seem not to like it around here to much bloody farmers now planting that stringant variety the ol wooody's not like the taset of it and tend to leave it alone but a least ive got 1 tight arse farmer still using the ol methods so just waitng for the call which is the norm from him.

there were feeding on a rolled field behind aswell, a few were packed with slugs and worms, never seen that before

Surely too early for them to be on the rape ? Its been a good season for nuts and berries etc, wouldnt have thought the pigeon would have been on the rape till after xmas. Did any have rape leaves in their crops ?

10 til 4. There were coming in nice in 2s and 3s
