I was having a mooch about their website today and noted that they mention deer stalking in the list of fieldsports that the estate is involved in.

 

Does anyone know if they take paying punters out and has anyone stalked the ground?

Red, roe and fallow on there. I hope you have alot of money.

Judging by their safety conduct i saw last year i would not be walking out with whoever takes stalkers out!

Ha ha, afraid I fall down on the money side of things so it will have to remain a tentative enquiry!

 

Out in interest, are the red and fallow park deer? I know of some free living fallow in North Yorks, but I'd be interested to know if there is a head of wild reds around that area.

As far as i am aware, save for a couple of escapees,there are no wild reds or fallow in the area.

Cheers for the info. I always wondered why some areas have wild populations arising from park escapes while others don't seem to.

 

With set ups like Tatton, Lyme, Eaton and Dunham Massey I can never understand why Cheshire doesn't have a large wild population. Obviously there are some pockets, but they aren't exactly wall to wall deer outside the park confines!

The park isnt that big!

 

Deer killing not deer stakling IMO but i guess it is whatever floats your boat.

 

Personally i would not pay for it there.

 

Try Yorkshire Roe Stalking (put it into google) never been out with him but heard a lot of good things
