sunday madness

Recommended Posts

me and mate plus his missis went for a clay shoot sunday and as we all shot like amatures (well mainly me his missis beat me!!) we thought we,d go ratting in the afternoon we finished up ratting with my patt x lakey and his lakey x russell and a jrt, 10 or so rats were killed in an about an hour, good fun was had by all. When we arrived back at there farm me and my mate decided to go to the straw barn where we had shot at and hit but not stopped a big fox the night before ,(they get in there because its warm) my buddy heard big foot stepps in on the bails so we got the guns and surrounded the barn. i threw my patt x lakey up in the bails and he "got on", nothing happed we were confused!!! so we put the other dogs up there as well but mr fox must of slipped out the back unoticed!!(crafty bugger)

Right we thought we,ll sit up here tonight and wait for him to return!!!!

after dinner about 9 0,clock we went and sat up in the barn we were,nt there 10 mins before we spotted a fox on the other side of the field,we started sqeaking and from nowhere 2 vixens came sprinting towards us as if racing eachother to the sqeak!!!! BANG i nocked one over and another shot was in aswell, the fox lead on the floor ,job done or so we thought,we turn our attensions on the other which was a bit far and we missed, looked back and the so called dead fox was gone????, neither us or our dogs could find it.MADNESS,

how do they do it!!! sorry didnt have camera with me that day, typical!!

"how not to shoot" :clapper: the fox has been found two fields over by mate exersising horse with dog this afternoon ,the point i was trying to make was the fact that these things can go some way on adrenilin(spelling?) ;)

true adrenalin can carry an animal a fair way, i shot a fox this summer from about 15 yards, full in the face with 42gm of BB's, it jumped and ran to the nearest brambles (about 20 yards) where it was laid stone dead?
