oh yeh i was there, at one stage i was in his kitchen almost ! he left the door wide open? then later that day i decided to walk down the hill to the shop and when i got back to the lads the police wouldt let me back in,so some of the lads with me woulndt let the police inspector out of haines drive untill they let me back in..lol

just a few of my pictures from 24 years ago,,,when i was very keen,,all i did in them days was listen to the ground for dogs barking..lol..no fancy finders then,,plus a cut down spade which was hid in a big pocket in my coat cos was poaching,,dug as deep as 8ft in chalk some times,,be lucky if i can dig 3ft in sand these days with out passing out...lol :sick: :sick: the pictures was taken of my photos so not very good lads,,hope you enjoy thou my old deerhound greyhound bitch,,she died chasing a fox on the lamp,,broke her back going undera steel bar,,this was the biggest dog fox ive ever seen,,my lurcher bitch drew it out,,thats were the gash come from on her nose,,didnt make a sound,,these few are 2 terriers that i bought of a game keeper..£15 each,,jack russel x patterdale,,they was that small as you can see they fitted down the holes side by side lol,,some times i dug and the black and white bitch was stood on her brothers back,,unbelivable,,best £30 ive spent in my life,,8 years on lost the black dog to very deep hole in a bank,,never did find im,,is sister died after being knocked over by a car and suffering from fits so had to put her down...sad loss,, another shallow dig..this one bolted from a hedge row got 1 field away before my old lurher caught it...right in front of 10 council workers building a fence...woops :sick: :sick:

If only I could find a deerhound lurcher pup like that. I think deep down almost all lurchermen would like to work a decent, hard allrounder of deerhound blood, something very attractive about them.

 

The old pics do add a special atmosphere to the pics ya just dont get with modern 15 meg digi cams.
