Ideation 8,216
And why is it on the "not ok to kill with dogs" list. Not trying to start an arguement or anything, just curious why people dont run them with dogs. I know there not loads of them about, luckily I live near the Forest of Dean so plenty near me, but just wondered why people dont run them. ATB Mike Think you read me wrong mate. What i meant is that they were not specifically prohibited when the ban was passed but neither were they specifically allowed under the license. As for the last bit. They do. There are. and so do i But shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Quote Link to post

Guest stewie
Big difference between pigs and other quarry like fox is that pigs hang out in family groups so you tend to see a few of them stood together, some large and some small. You slip the dog at the group, they split and the dog decides which one it grabs. Was the guy meant to shout - oi you daft c**t, not that one, get the big f****r. . . . .. . and then his dog was going to drop the one it had hold of and go after a bigger one? That pig isn't actually that young as it has lost all its piglet markings. And stewie - i notice you never gave ned makim this kind of stick. lol the voice of reason appears as usual :feck: just dont slip on a group with young simple You got a problem with me Stewie? Funny how you are civil and polite when i'm giving you advice on keeping sheep, but then give me the finger when i try to explain how a young pig gets killed (which disagrees with you) without me being rude to you in any way. Thats not a piglet, it's a young pig, it got killed, and the lad is going to eat it. Yes, he is a little bit retarded to be posting it on here, but thats THL. Now cheer the f**k up you miserable b*****d. As for 'we all know it's not done if you do it properly' and 'just don't slip on a group with young simple' - how much experience DO you actually have hunting boar at night? Most family groups contain juvenile boar and that one was not a piglet. PM if you like. the problem comes from you calling me retarded in you prey drive thread jai thought a young pig was called a piglet lol but as you agree with me he shouldnt of posted the pics ill leave it there mate not hunted any boar but seen countless herds of reds and fallow with fawns in and left them well alone when i could of bagged up THATS what im getting at selective slipping helps conserve the future of the sport jai Did i really call you retarded? Doesn't sound like me at all! I think i said 'you have to be retarded if you think . . . . ' and if you then found yourself judging yourself to be a retard, well i am sorry. A piglet is a 'baby' pig, a young pig is just that 'young'. With boar the piglets have stripes and spots on them and are a sandy reddish colour, they stay like this for a few months and then once out of the piglet stage they colour up like an adult and begin to grow thicker wiry coats and their body shape changes, with a more angular snout. Like you get full grown rabbits, kits and then something in between - a young / half grown rabbit. When it comes to deer i wouldnt take a fawn, but would have no problem with taking a young (i.e under a year) / juvenile deer if the opportunity presented itself and i needed the meat. I did notice you didnt give the lad stick for the half grown rabbit bottom right (if memory serves). When it comes to pig conservation - they are everywhere and due to the size and regularity of litters their population is exploding. ok jai sorry mate Quote Link to post
