matty73 4
theres good and bad in all breeds and xs theres no definitive answer to the question only personal opinions and as were all individuals just like our dogs they are bound to differ which i think is a good thing if we all had same views and opinions it would be a fecking boring world .i dont like prunes but i dont tell other people not to eat them because i dont Quote Link to post
wuyang 513
I work a collie greyhound 1st cross bitch and like poacher3161 says, although she is quick when bushing in small fields you need something even sharper than she is. I have no doubt she would have made an excellent lamping dog, but for bushing where i do the dogs get one chance to pick up the rabbit... two if there lucky enough to turn it. I do favour my collie/greyhound over my old whippet though, he had the speed, but tended to chase rather than strike, until he got older that was and then the penny dropped. Was wondering Whin are the grew/collies straight first cross, and do you find them better off the mark at catching when bushing over the first cross collie/greyhound?
