danman 27 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Share Posted September 25, 2010 ive got some moles that are making runs just under the surface of the grass there not making mole hills, they are hard to catch because the runs are really shallow is there any tips you can gice me to help catch them im using duffus style traps. stubby 175 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Share Posted September 27, 2010 Ive caught moles on those shallow runs, using a talpex trap, laid almost on its side then piled over with soil, dosent look nice in the garden,and the area I was doing, I knew wouldent get outside interest on Quote Link to post

Dakaras 3 Posted September 30, 2010 Report Share Posted September 30, 2010 They are a nightmare...I gently tease out the turf and scrap the run a bit deeper and push the half barrel into that, then (watching fingers) firm the soil back in the run under the trap...Hope that makes sense.
