Them and sugar gliders have been around years mate just a matter of time till the pet shops started suppose if we didnt already have gerbals and hamsters we may have been saying the same at that though as if there aint enough neglected animals on the bloody planet now showers of twats will be breeding them for the sake of the price tag !

As you say what next !

There's a few dafties who keep skunks as pets here, and I seem to remember reading that there is a colony living wild now somewhere in the UK? Now that's bad news.

It's the Forest Of Dean, a couple have been seen as road kill and a couple have been taken in to a rescue centre.. So there must be more (breeding ?) about..

Done a whole term on pygmy hedgehogs and sugar gliders as pets in college, they are great little pets but only if you know what your doing, deffinately not pets for kids that will get bored of them, just like any exotics.

The exotic species have been increasing over the last 20 years, through work I have had the opportunity to see them coming, only recently I was handling some meerkats and racoons, the meerkats were £1,200 a pair and the racoons similarly priced, also had dealings with marmosets/skinks/sugar gliders/coatis and kinkajoos. The problem is many of these are totally unsuitable as pets for 99% of folk and the husbandry bills are astronomical.............

then the kids will get bored with them, and they will be let go into the wild by ignorant parents.there was a craze of micro pigs aswell about a year ago

Let go into the wild at £150 a go must have more money than sence if they did

there is a lot of pets discarded into the wild

are you saying people wouldnt do that?

must have more money than sense to buy the f*****g things in the first place!

coon will turn agressive as they reach sexual maturity, skunks actually make quite nice pets as long as their glands are removed of course!

Ain't that the truth!!!!

Then they start shooting and stabbing each other .............

:clapper: not such a bad thing really lol
