davedavedave 69
Attached are pics of the finished article. Had a quick go with it last night using my Police Tech LED Lenser and bagged a nice bunny at 30 yards using the sticks sweet as a nut. Quote Link to post

Cracking job, how much for postage??? ;0) ATB, Andy Hi Andy, Thanks for the positive feedback. I am not looking to sell them as they are easy to make yourself. I just wanted to pass on a good idea I saw on You Tube on an excellent forum where other people share information I find useful. Dave Quote Link to post

Hi Dave, the problem with the pipe insulation is that the sticks won't close for carrying. Hi Mate, Mine do actually close with an elastic band at the bottom but I perfer them open anyway as I can carry them on my shoulder when out on my own. Cheers, Dave. Quote Link to post

stubby 175
I think were a certain breed of people, lots of folk out there, see something they want and just go out and buy it, whatever the cost, myself and a few others by the look of this post, opt for the "can I make it myself" approach, I needed a red filter recently, but rather pay £16 for the proper one, used an old wrong size filter, and a few minutes with the dremmel, its a good un, heres my attempt at shooting sticks, slightly longer so they can be used standing, 2 x washing pole props from wilkinsons at £2.00 each, and a nut and bolt, as I did'nt have a spare inner tube, but by using the bolt and a spacer, it folds flat when carrying, yet if you need to use it, simply let go of one pole, and it swings into the open position Quote Link to post

Cheers, Dave. Quote Link to post

Cheers, Dave. well,I have to say, they are slightly cumbersome when carrying, so after watching the above clip, I'll be chopping them down a bit, as they are extending poles, Ill reduce them to around 4ft when closed, still giving me the option of making them higher for standing Quote Link to post

They certainly look to close better than I thought mate.and the lagging will give good base for te rifle . Quote Link to post
