Broken Limb

Recommended Posts

If I had to choose between painful ops, pins, plates and long drawn out crate rest, I'd just have the leg off and be done with it. Most dogs will get on amazingly well on three legs. And a lot of working dogs make really good pets in the right home, so if I wasn't in a position to keep it I'd find someone who could.

my dog broke his back left leg just over two weeks ago after getting run over hes had two have a bone graft off his shoulder to help to pin and plate his back leg so far hes coming on well its just a case of not letting him do to much and holding him back keeping him on the lead. And keep taking him back to the vets. Will he run again well honestly i dont know he wont be doing owt this year so only time will tell.I can only give him the best possible care and chance.luckily i have got a nine and half month pup to do a bit with this season.atb with the season biza

I'd have to say i would have the dog pts unless it was an injury that could heal and they could return to the feild(no matter how long it takes) .As i too have limited space the dogs ar there for a purpose and not as pets not saying i dont get attached to them but well if they cant fullfill that purpose.....
