Only experience I have with ringworm was when the horses caught it from some cattle, I do remember it was a right booger to shift and needed a long period of treatment. Have you told the vet the treatment hasn't worked? Perhaps they can give you something else.

A vet did wrongly diagnose ringworm on one of my cats once, it turned out to be an allergy, but if it's just one patch on your dog it probably is ringworm.

Ringworm can be a bugger to get rid of because the spores hang on clothing and beds etc for months so it can keep coming back... A cream like canestan is quite effective, and try and keep the pup's environment as clean as you can. Ringworm is often self-limiting, tending to affect the more vulnerable animals, like pups, or entering the system through cuts and scratches or nail beds, so hopefully in a few months your pups immune system will be able to deal with it.

Ivermectin may indeed kill everything, including your dog if you get the dose wrong or it's one of the breeds that are very sensitive to it...

Ring worm yuk, my other half works with sheep and cattle he had a spot on his chin end and picked it which then turned in to ring worm he must have been in contact with something with ring worm  what a mess he used canestan it took about a good 4 weeks to clear up we had to make sure he used his own towels and washed his hands a lot so it did not spread
