doris 6
well, thanks to k94v on this site I bit the bullett and travelled up to Uxbridge to meet up with greyhound vet Daniel Doherty. Probably the best move I made. The dog has been diagnosed with a stress fracture of the metatarsal. Fortunately I pretty much rested him before and it is a type 1 fratcure only. The bone has started to heal but now needs 3 months rest/lead walking only. This is s real bugger as the season is just starting down here, so I am dogless til Jan, but at least I now know what the problem is and do not run the risk of causing any irreversible damage. Gotta say waht a gentleman Daniel is and clearly very well informed. Many thanks to k94v again. He kindly met up with me at the surgery to introduce himself. If your in hants some time let me know and I'll buy you a beer. . . . or 2. Rgds
