Napier UPH Pellets

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I heard a RUMOUR that RSW Superdomes were being discontinued, how true that is I dont know.

The superdomes go well out of my HW100 so if they do go Ill cetrtainly miss them.

Had a look at the Napier UPH pellets, and they look identical in shape, aswell as the weight.

So have now got a tin to try out in the rifle, after I clean the barrel, and let a few through her, Ill try them.

I explained in another post about the weight difference per pellet with the superdomes, was shocked, went from 92gr to 98gr this was from ONE tin.

The Napiers are said to be sorted and are lubed for you, so thats a plus to start.

Will put up the results for anyone who is interested when I get out again

Dont bother mate  ive given napier a few tries and the latest tin i bought had a .20 pellet in a pack of .22 and there were a few different shapes of pellets in the tin ones ranging from short and light ones simular to accupells to long heavy ones like bisley magnums :censored: i wouldent like to imagine the weight variation anyway i sorted them out into the different shapes and i got groups about the size of a tennis ball, complete shite to be honest stick to a proven brand of pellets

Hi Rich.

Are you talking about the new UPH Napiers, I have also tried the origanal Napiers, I guess I was lucky, because all mine were good pellet's, crap groups from my rifle, but the pellets themselves were ok.

You must have had a bad tin mate

The Napier UPH's are made from the RWS superdome moulds, so they are the exact same shape. I've pulled a tin apart and they come out pretty well, not many damaged, all consistent size and weights seem pretty consistent. They also shoot very good groups in my rifles. They're not cheap, and I might be tempted to go for the accupel that performs very well for me, but I wouldn't completely discount them. Prices are similar to the better known pellets, and if they work in your rifle then it's all good.

Hi Matt.

That's good to hear from someone who has tried the new Napiers

Yet to try them in my rifle.

Just weighed a 100 of them straight from the tin, came out mostly 94 grams 14.5ish as stated.

Only 5 out of the 100 were 93, so much better than the RWS Superdomes that I weighed.

They are on the expensive side, but if they are graded and lubed, can only improve performance and storage.

Just hope the HW100 likes them :laugh:

Hiya Gary.

Thanks for the Heads up buddy, yes mate, they are good

I was using them myself a while back, and boy do they hit with authority on the target.

Have tried AA Fields, the origanal Napiers and accupells too.

But for my Rifle, the best result's by far have been with the Superdomes.

Funny enough I picked up 3 more tins at the Powderham Sport and Country Fair today.
