beddylurcher 70
hi all. i took my beddy whippet owt for a walk on the lamp last nite with my brother with his air gun. my pup is only 6 1/2 months old to was just taking him to watch. well they was a bunny sat owt about 45 yards away my borther shot it but didnt kill it and it was slowly trying to run off, so i said to my borther wait here and slipped the dog and he ran stright up to it held it in his month for a second or two then ran back to me with it, well bwt 2 meters away but i was happy with that. carnt call it his first rabbit but its a start i think. it is a good idea to take them owt with a air gun or not? he knows to run down the beam and its getting him retreving them so i carnt see it doing him any harm. what do you guy/gals think? atb andy. beddylurcher 70
yes he is first cross mate, i thourght it could be ok for him to hold them in the nets till i got there? or would i go through loads of nets letting him hold them? thanks andy. Quote Link to post
matty73 4
thats what the nets for mate if its set right itl hold rabbit til you get there and while your dealing with that the dog has the rest of the sett covered not that id let it run any bolters at this early age marking and watching will be enough for few month Quote Link to post
