richie198 28
just let the dog grow a bit more i wouldnt be giving pleanty of road work or even to much walking just yet. It looks like their is still a bit of growing in him by looking at his knuckles and the feet might just come up again. When he is a bit older you can try all the road/beach walking you like. just to let ya know i had one the very same and she never came right feet ended up like paddles they went that flat. Best of luck mate Quote Link to post

Wild Whippies 11
Yes it helps. Can I ask what are you feeding and has bonemeal been provided? Just a quick experiment. If you hold the pups paw and bending it at the wrist bring the paw towards the elbow, how far will it comfortably extend? If your pik with the dogs legs straight is 6 o'clock and you bend the paw, on a clock will it look like 3 o'clock, 2 o'clock etc. I'm not taking the piss by the way! Genuine reason for getting you to do this. Quote Link to post
Wild Whippies 11
Also is the 2nd pik an older photo? Quote Link to post
FightTheBan 1,147
Your giving the dog too much exercise. I don't know wheteher that is what is fecking up its legs but you are exercising it far too much. Let it grow and be a pup. 2 hours at any rime in a dog as young as this is asking for trouble imo FTB Quote Link to post
fresh earth 47
100% agree wouldnt be giving him any more than 2-3 20-30 min walks a day and would only be of for one of these walks as to me to much excersise to young is asking for bother and would never give a dog road work to help with fitness until at least 12 months usualy id just let the dog get fit with short runs of the leash and start road work at 18 months so i know the dogs fully grown and ready to take the strain after all you wouldnt advise a youngster to do much at all in the gym till at the very least 16 and even at that not alot. Also looks slightly like rickets to me in the second pik seen a lads cocker with same trouble now its 18 month and a change in diet rectified it although is still noticeable when he is sitting sometimes Quote Link to post
