longnetter 32 Posted September 20, 2010 Report Share Posted September 20, 2010 Good idea with the jute ,mate, nice one I've used spun poly and find it OK, nice to tie with and to use . If you're making your own nets you can afford the best so go for a reputable supplier (Agouti or Torchy)both are very reasonable . Don't be tempted with the bottom end of the market stuff it's crap, it's well worth spending an extra couple of quid a spool on decent gear . ATB 1 Quote Link to post

yoda 0 Posted September 26, 2010 Report Share Posted September 26, 2010 hi i get all my net making gear from bridport net, a good book to get is call net making for sport can,t remember the autor but all you need to know about making nets, i just enjoy making nets my grand father taught me he use to make nets for the fishing industry in brixham can still see him now out the back yard breeding nets fag in mouth have a look at bridport nets i use them all the time and found very good on price/ quaility and delivery i just make nets for a hobby why her in doors watches all the soaps (crap) Quote Link to post
