im from wigan and done quite alot of ferreting and lamping in southport and its either big flats or sand..

 

It's a wee bit of scrub land that holds the best hares on the planet........

but dont you need big saluki x s to catch hares and scrub land would be no good as dont they need massive fields to plod down there hares???

 

LOl................ aye they do.... land without an horizon is generally the rule of thumb.... I heard there are more saluki's in Norfolk than there are hares.........

i wanted a saluki x but my dad said there no good over here in southport the land isnt big enough for them so i got a collie x

fair enough but atleast they can still hunt most quarry over there wether they pay or not. before u know it u wont even b able 2 run rabbits wid a dog without getting a bollokin off the local plod.

The fens is one boring place to walk though,walk the same field for a hour,add to that a salukix :lazy: But as this is complete fantasy,i guess i would get my plummer terrier,to go to ground and work a fox
