as above where would you go and what would you run your dogs on

Thats easy............... I'd be straight down to the local outdoor shop, get me a 2 man tent and camp bang in the middle of the fens..........

wheres the fens????

It's a wee bit of scrub land that holds the best hares on the planet........

thankyou

but dont you need big saluki x s to catch hares and scrub land would be no good as dont they need massive fields to plod down there hares???

LOl................ aye they do.... land without an horizon is generally the rule of thumb.... I heard there are more saluki's in Norfolk than there are hares......... :whistling:

i wanted a saluki x but my dad said there no good over here in southport the land isnt big enough for them so i got a collie x

Is your dad havin a giraffe? Have you seen Southport's countryside? It's full of flats pal ..

Recon Id run my dogs on rabbit, hare, fox, hog, rusa, fallow, reds and samba deer then to really test them out give them a run on a red roo out west. Hang on I can do all that any time. Its great to live in the land of milk and honey.

jammy fecker lol and i bet you have no anti cranks bothering you either do you, but then we dont have deadly snakes and spiders when we hunt so i guess it balances out have you lost any dogs to snakes or spiders

No its a dog wont catch a january hare on the fens if it hasnt got saluki in it

A bedi whippet!!! Aye right, your at the wind up mate..... never believing that.

why not mate i know a bloke with a 20 inch dog that will catch hares pre ban of coarse anywhere its living so where now not talking 1958,lol

Is your dad on the forums Johnjo?

Never thought of that!!! He might be a kid.... but didn't he say his dad ran dogs in 58? Unless his da had him when he was older of course........... :hmm:

Sounds like a kid to me, probably just got his first dog:wallbash:

my dad knows you from blackburn he was in your place in summer talking dogs,

he said your a nice man

Do you know each other then?

I think I might possibly know his dad from back in the day but I think he's wrong about him being at our works recently.

Think its all bullshit meself, unless his dads called Ray, thats the only person I can think of that would have a kid about 20 at a guess:hmm:

Cheers, D.

No touch wood ive been lucky with the snakes but ive had plenty of mates that have lost dogs to snakes the worst is when they come in your back yard and get the dog in its kennel.
