Please give me some tips about the area lads and lasses as ive looked around for miles and cant find anything, day or night.. im getting desperate now. Also would like any farmers to contact me about starting my jack russell on some rats. cheers all. steve 07526003516 Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Have you knocked on the farmers doors mate? Put some adds in countrystores, get beating to make contacts and just keep trying. We all struggle with getting permission, thats life unfortunately. My mate has some permission in Derbyshire that was crawling with rabbits but recently when we went for a night out, no rabbits on several hundred acres, bizare as the farmer hadn't found any bodies and we didn't see any signs of mixy. I also have some small permission in Derbyshire that is good for ferreting and lamping bunnies, you just need to keep trying, we have all been there............. Quote Link to post
deanflute 550
I don't mean to sound blunt but who in their right mind would tell you where the Rabbits are? They either have permission on their own land or if they do know where Rabbits are they are likely to be seeking permission themselfs, I also can't see farmers contacting you directly off here mate, Try tagging along with someone local and enjoy some sport that way Good luck either way Quote Link to post

I've been told by MANY experienced and very 'right minded' people over the years where decent hunting can be found, which is why i had plenty of permission and had the pleasure of hunting with some very good people and fine animals. I don't know many people in the area i've moved to, so will rely on those people you referred to as not being right in there mind to point me in the right direction, and best of luck to you and your secret peermission.. good hunting Quote Link to post

blacktabs 3
Plenty on the estates there though if your willing to risk it. Best places is high peak bakewell area and further up towards edale never had permission up there when we used to lamp it we got good numbers 50s if you find the right places. Getting ground for the dogs is hard i get ferreting rights most times i go out but pick my areas first if theres sets on the roadsides or dead rabbits on the road i stop and tour the area then ask at each farm if theres numbers you will usually get one that will let you on do a good job then when theyve got to know you then ill i ask about the dogs atb in getting somwhere to go Quote Link to post
