Aaron_butcher 17
Went out today with the ferrets on the farm we've had permission on since mid last season but have recently been given a few new fields. All the fields are split up into horse paddocks and rented out seperatly, the farmer had already told me he had a lot of rabbits over there and they do no favours for the horses with regards to ruining the grass and digging holes that could easily injure a horse. So we walked down there and saw a woman with her two dogs poo picking her paddock, we hopped into the paddock next to hers, walked over, introduced ourselves (very politely), told her what we were doing and asked her if she would rather we stayed off of her paddock. The response we got was, ' I don't care if you've got permission i don't want you coming and ranting to me about it, if you come on my paddock my dogs will bite you '. To which i replied, ' Theres no need to be rude, we are were just being polite rather than you wondering who we were and making you angry in the first place '. Which was followed up by another ear full, ' You've already got me angry, I dont want to talk to you so go away '. I told her I won't f*****g bother next time then and walked off. On the walk back passed we got more abuse about how we've shown what kind of people we are etc etc. It really got to me, I thought we'd be doing her a favour!!! And the fact we were polite enough to let her know what we were up to. Anyone that says the younger generation are the ones provoking the older generation have got it all wrong as this isn't the first time i've had woman coming and shouting at me for no good reason. Anyway, rant over, I feel better now . Aaron. Quote Link to post
JoeD 24
It happens i'm afraid, don't stop telling people your out doing what your doing though as it will save hassle if you ever get a visit from the plod or something. And as long as you have permission she can't do f**k all, so if she does set her dogs on you then you have every right to protect yourself and that means restraining that dog or worst, also if she pays for the paddock off of the owner then get the owner to have a word with her. Rake aboot 4,936
Aye Ignorant old bag !!! Whats worse is if her grounds polluted with rabbits ,it`s HER responsability to control them (legally) If the permission you`ve got ,complains to her about the rabbits she might soften up and shut her trap!!. ATB I've got permission on her paddock anyway, so as far as the landowner is concerned i can go on there and do what i f*****g like. She only rents it off the farmer, thats what annoyed me, i could have just let myself on and got on but thought id be polite and ask. Quote Link to post

ATB Afraid its not her responsability to control them the law was rescinded last year in the hope that landowners would mutually agree to control their rabbits yeah right further down this post it mentions landowners and persons renting land from them, in this case the the person renting the land is obliged to control the vermin on the land they are renting and are allowed to name a 3rd party to take care of this So basically the tenant has the right to say who can and cant come on her rented property over the landowner Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post

Lab 10,979
If i was you mate i'd just leave that section alone. Lets face it if you get in an argument i would imagine the landowner would take the womans side since she is paying the pounds for rent. Some miserable old bitches out there!!! Quote Link to post
