RicW 67
I quote. "To put it bluntly but fairly, anyone today who doubts that the variety of life on this planet was produced by a process of evolution is simply ignorant - inexcusably ignorant, in a world where three out of four people have learned to read and write." From Darwin's Dangerous Idea by Daniel C Dennett. Dennett is one of the worlds leading philosophers. If you are seriously interested in this subject, it would be worth reading his book "Breaking the Spell." Dawkins's book is a bit of a rant TBH. Dennett is far more thoughtful, far more balanced in his views. Not an easy read but worth the effort. They'll have it in your local library.
