out again yesterday

well we thought the rain would never stop yesterday morning so decided at 11am to head of anyway.

we arrived at our destination at 11:30am and got the boat into the water and all setup.

up the lough we went trying all the wee bays that normally produce good fish in the winter but a lot of them are still choked with weed making fishing & boating very difficult, we will just have to wait till they die back a bit.

so we stuck the main river trolling different spinners & lures.

all day long i never got as much as a bite but my mate caught & landed two pike.

both were only a couple of pounds and one had just eaten as his belly was buldging from a fish it had only just taken & still it went for the lure.

he did hit into a good fish that he played for a while but it managhed to get of without either of us seeing it. (the one that got away).

so 5pm came and we called it a day.

 

 

 

and i finally got the name on the boat.

i have always found the larger the lure, the larger the lady! i got given one afew years ago that i thought would be just too big, nearly 12inches, i treied it on a slow day and took a 22 on it!

Good do mate try the BIGGER LURES the ones with the BIG TALE'S they should bring the LARGE LADIES OUT
