possibly my favorite type of lurcher great prey drive very game and eager to please can be a little headstrong if not kept on top of when young and ive found them to be touchy with strangers ,i also think its easier to get a good wheaten cross than a bull cross because the wheaten x cross is not as popular there is not as much shit about,i also find the wheaten cross does not bring as much attention to you as the bull cross and the wheaten crosses coat hides a mulitide of sins i also hope they never get as popular as the bull cross for reasons i mentioned earlier, there is nothing a good bull cross cant do that a good wheaten cross cant do either thats fact and thats not putting bull crosses down i love bull blood also and have had a few

well iv got a 3quarter wheaton quarter grey and its a banging dog hes doing really well 14 half month old es guna b a good all rounder i think as es proven to me hes a good 1 atb m8t mogy

Been out with wheaton x,s...The half x takes some beatin on the foxes pre ban....The 3/4grey 1/4 wheaton takes some beatin on deer pre ban...just to add the ones ive been out with were as placid as you like....atb stabba

half cross,3/4 cross whatever,all ye rate dogs on their cross and %,and stupid questions like whats a bull hound/collie hound/deerhound/greyhound/saluki/whippet etc.BOLLOCKS.its down to heart,drive and speed no matter what cross.i keep bull and wheaten crosses for foxes and don't have time for collie crosses normally but i've seen a few great collie bred fox dogs,ye all seem to generalise about things too much.

the wheaton cross his aclass act when bred right very hardy animal aswell as game can be touchy but no more so than the bull cross ive kept both types theres very little to choose befween them

To be honest with you mate there not alot of wheaton crosses in Scotland (sure someone will put right if am wrong on that ) I have only ever saw a 3/4 grey 1/4 wheaton graft in my time and is a very handed charlie dog ,but heard a lot of good thing about the wheaton just not saw enough yet to make a honest opinion on them ? atb keano

saw a few about first one was 94 95 good dog but pik of the litter and tall and rangy bred in alloa area second one i had of a freind not a good all rounder but suited the hill keeper who had him started looking at his terriers so he had to go hees settled in to a good home and has done the owner proud hees fearless tough bit to much coat for me ,but good pestcontrol dog but not a good potfiller to hard in the mouth be alrite mdiluted down to a good saluk type or colie type
