lola & tom 0
as long as you make sure you stick to your chamber length, look to see if its 2 3/4 or 3 inch chambers before you buy some bb carts. iv heard people say BB shot is fine for fox but i have not shot any with them. danebrewer10 6
the shot size shouldn't make any difference, as you say. don't go any smaller then BB, and take a 36gm minimum, and a tighter choke, 1/2 or 3/4. restrict your range with the lighter loads, and check your chamber length, as lola & tom says, if you go and stick a 3" cartridge in a 2 3/4 " chambered gun, you could be in for some interesting times..... bye bye face and fingers. IMHO 36gm is too light, go as heavy as you can stick in your gun, I have some 50gm 3" BBs from Gamebore and they are the mutts nuts, they kick sure, but then you're not shooting that many, I have shot two foxes with them and they have both dropped like stones. I patterned some fox cartridges a while ago here: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/148213-shotgun-cartridges-for-foxes-cartridges-patterned/page__p__1498682#entry1498682 Express also do a 50gm BB and 50gm AAA loading- from john forsey guns Quote Link to post
