Millet 4,497
I would do it for a tenner or a egg.. ..not sure on that hight but my best is around 300ft harnessed and 120ft unharnessed (not clever or big)..a work mate of mine fell 30ft and smashed his face in and died instant ..not nice but the hight is only psychological, you can fall 6ft and be brown bread. That fellow on that tower is on a sliding saftey line all the way near the top which is a waste of time really if you are going to take it of at the top.. .. Good bit of footage though and i would not mind taking some of these polish immigrants up there and saying they is load's of fish up there, and throwing them off at the top.. .. Edited to add unsure on the slider.. Edited September 18, 2010 by Lady rosselle

tdavepat 8
I also climb for a living. I don't see a slider anywhere and I can't for the life of me see why he's hanging his lanyard (a single one at that) off those hand pegs. If he slipped he'd be flying off the side like a penguin. It made me feel sick watching that for some reason. The first 200 are always the worst for me. Once past that, your perspective goes out the window. I use a double lanyard or a slider and lifeline, but I'd rather use my own lanyard as at least I remain in control. I can climb any height in good weather, but I hate climbing in the rain or cold. jigsaw 11,863
i reckon hes nothing left loo wise once he reaches the top, lol.what approximate height are those towers?
tdavepat 8
The tallest are about 2000 feet, usually atop buildings but probably the average decent sized free standing ones are around 1000 feet.
Guest arch1
Feck thats high. 1700' I thought i heard the commentater say. That Guy makes it look easy, he must have a grip like a Gorilla. I work on the Power lines and Wooden poles, and most people grip more with their hands and forearms rather than just hands, which is what that guy was doing. Also takes alot of nerve to lean back on your Landyard at that height, it's the only thing keeping you up there. You've gotta hope the guys who built the thing did the bolts up real well.
