i use superdomes in my hw100 kt and having great results with them but i have'nt tried any other kind of pellet through it the lad i bought it off used superdomes so i just kept to the same pellet

Hi Albert.

Yep, they are a nice pellet mate.

BUT....I got all curious one day, and weighed a tin of them, I was shocked to say the least.

They ranged from 92gr to 98 gr :icon_eek: so can go over 15.0 instead of the stated 14.5.

These Napier UPH are supposed to be sorted before we get them, and are supposed to be the same pellet type, so we will see when they arive

hiya bill

i'm new to this style of hunting but realy enjoying it

first of all would i be better trying different pellets

and secondly would the difference in weight of the pellet give a different shot pattern

i managed to boy 5 tins of rws superdomes at the cheshire show for £20 so not going to run out anytime soon

but next time i'm in the gun shop i'll see has he got any napier's in

cheers albert

Hiya Albert.

Glad your enjoying Air Rifle Hunting mate

If I were you, and was getting good results with the Superdomes, I would stick to them mate

Same as I said to Stealthy, dont take what I said as gospel, they may NOT be discontinuing them

The shot MPI will be affected by the difference in wieght yes, but only realy noticable beyond 25yds/mtrs.

I have now sorted mine in respective wieghts

There should be a batch number on a sticker on the bottom of the tin, good idea not to mix the batch numbers  if you bought your's all in one go, should be the same.

Although the pellets are the same make, they could be made in different dies, i.e batch numbers.

Hope that makes sense mate :laugh:

I've tried a few pellets in my rifle so far RWS Superdomes and H-Points have been the best. Air Arms Diablo Field were good too. Tried some marksman ones but they were really bad some fell straight out the gun and some wouldn't fit in :( not sure if anyone else has tried these? Have some new ones now because shop ran out of the others, Edgar Brothers, and they seem ok too :)

Thanks a lot lads for all the feeback :)

I'm looking for a pellet around 10 grains, has anyone tried the JSB exact Jumbo pellets?

I've been told that they are the same as heavy baracuda pellets, i'm a little confused because the chairgun software gives JSB Jumbo's a higher BC rating.

accupells for me but thats cos si(zini) did the legwork before passing das kraut over to me. typically tho, my local shop is having trouble getting em (apparently webley are being taken over by highland outdoors?) so i've been having to find the last remaining tins in every gunshop i've passed by over the last few weeks...

all the best, wurz
