john b 38
I'm surprised that the flatpack ones need any tuning - the ones I've had from them have always been pretty well set. Having said that I do still bend the triggers a little, about halfway down and back towards the end of the trap. Quote Link to post
OldTrapCollector 377
I can recommend that you get Moley's DVD - it will show you all about how and what to do with your mole traps, from modifying new traps to make them more effective to setting them I think Fourteenacre sell it OTC Quote Link to post
Steve Albano 21
I agree that Moley's video is a great source on information on how to tune and prepare the Duffus traps. It's a very good video. Personally, I don't think weathering mole traps makes a bit of difference. I do think tuning triggers to be sensitive is very important. Quote Link to post
Dakaras 3
Im like Johnb with the flatpack ones, I do just slightly adjust the trigger to get it springing a bit closer to the head and neck of mole..I dont weather just get the straight into the ground they soon weather in that way. IanB 0
I tilt the top trigger slightly to reduce force required to fire the trap, then the actual loop trigger I bend forward from its mid region towards the outside of the trap, and I widen it. Quote Link to post
ratattack 111
Best place to weather a mole trap is in a mole run Quote Link to post
