Born Hunter 17,775
This was the first Pike i caught this season during the summer, I caught it on my 7 foot fox spinning rod with 8 lb line and a small pike plug (cant remember the name), so fairly light set up , but it gave the best fight i have ever had. When i first hooked her i dont think she even knew she was hooked, just cruised across the river and then all of a sudden WAM, she just took off with a huge splash of her tail and tore line off of the reel :11: Any way landed her after about 10 minutes of shear excitement (understand my biggest before that was only just a double) and then managed a few photos but didnt have any scales. I thought she was probably just about 20 lb, what do the rest of you think? Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,775
Nice catch and a good nick fish you have there ..on the weight bit i would say 16 to 17lb as it is a slender old thing.. ..On another note which country did you catch it in ..???? ..because i see a power top in one of the pic's showing a feeble muscled skinny arm.. the reason im asking is it's below zero here at the moment and most folk are well wrapped up.. . Millet :11: , it was this country (England, Lincolnshire) in the summer, the season had only just started Quote Link to post
