akton 15
Change of mind NOT going to it this year,A few of the lads were going but after a few pints and a decent debate its OFF this year for us, the atmosphere is more like a car boot /market selling £1 shop items and garden furniture, aswell as all the inflated prices for a burger and admission, you wouldnt pay £6 for a burger, but then they do there and they seem to get it. So I look forward to all those that are going to keep us all informed of your experiences and thoughts..... oh and all the lovely MUD ALL OVER YOUR CAR WHEN YOU GET BACK TO THE CAR PARK LOL

davedavedave 69
I used to go years ago when sensibly priced and it was the best place to buy stuff. However I get all I want online using forums like this to research before buying rather than taking a punter at the show and hoping for the best. Online is much cheaper and even more so when I add in the £17 to get in, petrol to get there and the rip-off prices for food.

OldTrapCollector 377
£13 on an advance ticket - not bad at all I thought The show was smaller than last year but certainly not small overall The one thing I cannot understand is why the terriers/running dogs are so far away from the main show, and yet the gundogs are right in the middle of it all ... ?? I went looking for a new jacket and came home empty handed, apart from a handful of old traps OTC

I went looking for a new jacket and came home empty handed, apart from a handful of old traps OTC yeh otc but even 13 pound is to much TENNER is more like it. the midland has just got greedy thats all look back its grown peaked and now in decline , they treat the the lurcher / terrier people with contempt the site at the front was perfect why change it was it politics the ban /tail docking etc , who knows , they are reaping what they sow ,
hunter1 63
Its a ripoff and smaller
boyo 1,398
£17.00 to get in and lurchers way way from anything else complete rip off bonus is the coursing crew who ran the lurcher events can certainly run a good show. trying to get out was a nightmare over a hour to get out of the show this really needs sorting .the midland itself was good i thought with plenty to see and some good ofers on but overall its a ripoff and time they sorted it out . Strong Stuff 2,171
I know loads who swerved it this year, I didn't bother going, got up early and it was raining so went back to bed! Couldn't be arsed with that long walk from the show to the dogs in the rain, not fun! Hoping to make the trip to a proper show next sunday though at Gelligaer, proper dogs and decent people not a car boot sale with a few dogs. Funny how it's stopped being the premier working dog meet up since the EDRD shows started .........
akton 15
Same here aaron, the price to get in, the travelling down there, the mud, traffic and the shite they sell at extortionate prices, never again. copped for it last year and it was shite then. for me the Midland is over rated and too costly.
