nice looking dogs, but ass working dog overrated

i don't see any scares :whistling: on their faces.

But good guard dogs though

Some poeple dont need to have scared up dogs for them to be good dogs, id much prefer a dog with little or no scars, i dont need to paraid round fairs and streets with smashed up dogs too look hard or make poeple think ive good dogs! I know of many dogs with very few scars most come from younger years of learning the game and quarry! some dogs just do there job fast and dont get bit often they are the better dogs imo.

cracking looking dogs, sorry for my ignorance but do yous use them as a running dog or just to cross with grey hounds, or are they an end of dig dog, or a guard dog??

why wasnt this line used 30 years ago to start the strong dog x greyhound and instead they used something else that had been proven over and over again.   now this seems just to be a fad that wont g

very strong animal, and not for the faint hearted...hope young pretenders don't start getting there hands on these... like the look of the lighter brindle but fair play both are very handy looking

Handy for what mate? these dogs couldn't catch a cold, the only time they could be used on a dig is at the end and that would be cruel, no good for setting down in the square, so I cant think what they handy for. Unless its for keeping dog thieves out your yard. Having said that they are fine looking animals but not for me...and I bet take some upkeep.. :icon_eek:

Have to agree with the above !! Why are such dogs plastered on THL If they don't work ????????????

You can only be implying what both you and I already think?????? Yes ?????

If you trying to say what I think your trying to say, then something dont add up. it would show on them, they look far to pretty to be munchers mate, so dont pull that one.

And you asked what I meant by saying ''Ive heard it all now'' in response to your statement ''shes as good as any bullx''

well. its simple. That, my friend is total BOLLOCKS. Il explain why, and it wont be hard. By the way mate, before I do, let me tell you, I like your dogs, and have already said, they look well put together, and in some parts they do a useful job in the field. BUT in this country there are bull greys that will do better in every aspect of work, and I mean every aspect. The addition of mastif to these dogs firstly makes them slow, also reduces jaw power greatly, although some dont realise this, but the bullterrier has a far greater biting force than a mastiff. Your only benefit is bulk, which in certain areas coud be helpful for holding feral pigs, and possiby a slight advantage over a lighter bull/grey? but thats being kind to the alaunt if im honest with myself. Maybe over many years of line breeding the best to the best, you may get somwhere near the quality of animal of a good bul/grey, but who is going to waste that time and effort? You? If so mate, good luck.
