lurchermania 25
ya if taught from a pup any can jump mind my retired grey came off the trach and never strugled learning at 2.5 years so just suppose there all as good as ya make them Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Collie will probably learn quickest. . . .. . . .. i'm only saying that as they are GENERALLY faster learners than the other breeds. And to be honest i dont remember ever teaching any of our collies to jump. . . . .. they just did it as it was a logical way around an obstacle. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
To add that i start most dogs really young with a very low board in the kennel door and give them the 'hup' command to get over when i'm getting them out (starting with barely more than a step over). . . . . i very gradually build it up. Works fine. Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
Collie out of that lot but the best dog of all would be a collie grey, trouble stopping mine jumping. I heard that a lurcher holds the record for the high jump. Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
All mine jump well, a collie/grey 2 bull/greys and an ex track grey at 4 year old who clears any fence, gate the same as the lurchers, patience and confidence building will get any dog jumping usually!
