sighthound123 31
Decided to take the pup out on some good ferreting ground last sunday, good sandy ground easy to net so thought would be ideal as the lack of cover aswell meant she couldnt miss them easily. Netted a small warren up with only 5 visible holes on the bank, ferret goes down and soon enough the first one bolts into the net, she was on it in an instant. good start. 2nd one comes out of a bolt hole we didnt see and is away. 3rd straight into the net and same again and then a final the same way. decided to keep one in the field. by this point she was jumping about like a lunatic as we were walking into the field. rabbit got 20 yards or so and then she's off easily cathing up with it and bendingit about 3 or 4 times before she striked. trying to pick it up and bring it back however she couldnt quite grasp a jumping rabbit in her mouth. very pleased with her overall and a good days ferreting that filled her bowl and the ferrets for a day or two. heres a picture of her now at just over 5 month, 21.5 tts.
