Single box dimensions??????????????

Im making soime ferret boxes soon, and need Some pics, and dimensions, also types of hinges, and lock catches, simple ones to follow, as im new to this.

 

Double and single, be used for small to medium sized ferrets, nothing too big, As I go as light as Possible.

Morning AA,pics below are of a single box I bought off of E Bay so I could copy the pattern and see what bits I needed.

All I did was increase the measurements on the width and depth by a third to make the double.

You will need 1 sheet of 9mm ply

1 sheet of 5mm ply (try builders merchants mine are cheaper than b+q etc)

some no nails adhesive

panel pins

1"1/2 oval nails

hinges

latch

nuts,screws,washers and carry strap

dimensions are width 450mm,hight 200mm,depth left 365mm,depth right 235mm

work out the curve and cut base and lid the same.

All I did was have a play and it probably took about an hour or so

nice timing AA and seany i recently found loads of marine ply offcuts and was thinking of making a new box

Good job you found some tullfan mate ply is very very expensive these days,just another point you could try joinery manufactures shops for off cuts and also machined hardwood for pegs.

where do you get the straps with the clip on?

I would'nt have a clue about the strap I just nicked the bits off the small box,I did think maybe you could use a strap off an old holdall bag.
